This is an introduction to beekeeping course hosted by West Central Ohio Beekeepers Association. Class will be held at the Madison Champaign Educational Service Center in Urbana, OH from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.  Topics covered will include: What Beekeeping is about, Beekeeping Equipment, Seasonal Management, Honey Bee Pests and Diseases, Where to get Honey Bees, Basic Honeybee Biology, Colony Mangement, and Sources of Nectar and Pollen. Cost is $65 for individual and $15 for each additional family member. Registration fee includes a copy of the book “Bee-sentials” (one copy is shared for family registrations) and lunch.
